I've got an awful problem with my back which isn't getting any better with the pills my doctor gave me. Do you know anything else I could try? I don't know whether to see a physio or an osteopath or what to do?
you could go to the MDST at 10 Fonnereau Road in Ipswich. They've got doctors, a physiotherapist, osteopaths, a pain specialist and even a spinal surgeon there. I don't want to see a whole load of people, I just want one person to get me right.
It isn't always that simple with back problems. When I had a bad problem I saw one guy for loads and loads of times, but I still didn't get any better and it cost a fortune. I went to the MDST and the person I saw first recommended seeing two of his colleagues, who gave me an injection, got me loosened up and then showed me exercises to stop it getting bad again. That really helped and it cost me less than a lot of sessions with someone else - and it was a lot quicker. That sounds like a good idea, how do I go there?"
you can simply phone 01473 226478 to make an appointment, but they do like your GP to write a referral if possible. If you have got insurance cover you will certainly need a GP referral." oh, do the insurance companies pay for treatment there?
you had better check with them, but most insurance companies will cover treatment with any of the practitioners there. |
